Prospective Principal/Project: UAE

Responsibilities:
* Diagnosis and analyze scope of repairs.
* Identification and estimation of materials required for repairs.
* Monitoring and tracking maintenance of various and marine equipment used for marine and construction.
* Planning, scheduling dry docking of floating equipments in case of special survey consulting the project and site management to ensure the availability without disturbing the project operation.
* Monitoring the status of marine equipment under various classification societies to fulfill the class requirement.
* Coordinate and follow up with PSC Inspection, SHIP VETTING and familiar with ISPS procedures.
* Preparation of equipment inspection report for transfer of equipment from and to other sites.
* Estimation and allocation of manpower and other resources for the completion of repair work.
* Scheduling and tracking the progress of repair.
* Preparation of comparative statement for received quotations and proposing the best quoted supplier based on cost, quality and lead time forecasting the requirement.
* Making Order confirmations upon discussion with top management.
* Monitoring the status of Purchase Orders to ensure timely delivery of the ordered materials for the uninterrupted progress of projects.
* Depreciation calculation of equipment periodically and after the completion of every project.
* Monitoring of Safety systems and Safety equipment within site in co-ordination with safety department.
* Foreseeing the future requirements & Control of Inventory striking a right balance between under inventory and over inventory.
* Monitoring the delivery & distribution of correct materials in correct time to the site.
* ISO documentations and system implementations as per company requirement in co-ordination with the Quality Management.
* Preparation of budgets for major repair of equipment.
* Diagnosis and analyze scope of repairs.

Requirements:
* Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Marine Engineering, Mechanical, or equivalent.
* Experienced in marine project operations & maintenance as technical support.
* Monitoring dry-docking & repair activities of marine equipments such as small Dredgers, Tugboats, Multicats, Floating crane barges, Flat top barges, Split barges.
* Experience in handling and coordinating with surveyors of classification societies like BV, ABS, Lloyds Register and DNV.
* Knowledge in ship vetting procedure of SPC and ZADCO of UAE.
* Experienced with cost estimation and budgeting of major repair works of Marine Equipment.
* Coordinate and follow up with Port State Control Inspection, familiar with ISPS procedures.
* Familiar with industrial and marine engines, generators, pumps and motors.
* Experience in material testing both destructive and non destructive testing of mechanical properties, ultrasonic testing, and x-ray spectroscopic testing as per ISO, ASTM, BS, and DIN standards and test procedures.
